Active Release Techniques® (ART®) is a unique soft tissue management system that has been granted a medical patent. It addresses over 300 muscular and fascial injuries and over 100 peripheral nerve entrapments. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fascitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are just a few of the many conditions that can be resolved quickly and permanently with ART®.

Every ART® session is a combination of evaluation and treatment. The ART® provider uses soft tissue techniques to evaluate the texture, tightness and movement of muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves. Abnormal tissues are treated by combining precisely directed tension with specific movement.

These treatment protocols – over 500 specific moves – are what make ART® unique. They allow providers to identify and correct the specific problems that are affecting each individual patient. ART® is not a cookie-cutter approach.
