Pilates-based exercises are a great way to transition out of rehabilitating an injury and into an exercise program that develops a balance of strength and mobility while reducing the risk of reinjury. Pilates helps to develop body awareness and proprioception while improving postural alignment and ease of movement. Pilates also includes progressions to high-level, challenging exercises to improve dynamic stability, core control and overall strength and endurance. For these reasons, Pilates is used by many athletes and performing artists to refine their techniques and reduce risk of injury.
